Everyone is sure to have a "Swinging Good Time" at the 6th Annual Sharon Knowles Golf Tournament. Registration & Lunch will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Shot gun start at 1p.m. for this four (4) person scramble. Entry fee includes; green fees; cart; bucket of balls; lunch and plenty of ice cold beverages. All proceeds, after expenses will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Kansas. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Kansas is one of three charities that will benefit from this first time fundraising event in Wichita. For more information visit www.crawlforcancer.org.
For those people who aren't quite sure what a pub crawl is ... it's like 'bar hopping' with a group of friends. No 'crawling' involved!! This is an amazing opportunity for you and your friends to support an absolutely AWESOME cause while enjoying a perfect day of PUB CRAWLING through Old Town.
Here's how it works:
Form a team of approximately 10-12 people and appoint a team leader. Team leaders need to register their team online at www.crawlforcancer.org. The cost is $40/person. The Wichita CFC will have a T-Shirt designed specifically for our event. Each team will have the same color shirt. Sizes will be obtained with registration.
The week of the event, team leaders will be able to pick up their teams’ t-shirts and an itinerary containing the list of assigned bars and the order to which their team will 'crawl'. Feel free to customize and add “flare” to your attire!
On the day of the event, teams will meet at the first bar on their list and ‘pub crawl’ to 5 different bars over 4 hours. Each team will receive 4 vouchers at each bar, which entitles your team to 4 pitchers/bar.
Your CFC T-shirt entitles you to free admission at all participating bars.
Following the conclusion of the pub crawl, an after party will be held!!
Help support a wonderful cause and have a great time in the process.
This is the first time this event will take place in Wichita…let's put Wichita on the Crawl˜for˜Cancer Map!!

Presented by the Gypsy MC International - Derby, KS Chapter the 3rd Annual Ride for a Wish will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Kansas. Come out for some breakfast & coffee; check out all the nice rides, then kick-stands will go up with first bikes out at 9am; last bike out at 11am; and everyone arriving back at Biker's Edge by 1pm.
Not a morning person, everyone is invited to join the fun after the ride at the ROAST after the RUMBLE. Bubba from Bubba's Nekked BBQ will be cooking up some tasty food to enjoy while you kick back and listen to some classic rock tunes. Plenty of door prizes will be given away throughout the day, so be sure to listen for your winning numbers.

Come show off your wheels at the 16th Annual Show 'N Shine car show brought you to by the Wichita Police Department & the Fraternal Order of Police. Bring the kids and take advantage of the FREE Child Identification Program. $10 vehicle registration for each entry; $5 t-shirts with registered entry. First 100 entries will recieve a commemorative dash plate. Juding begins at 1 p.m. with trophies awarded in stock & custom categories of Cars, Trucks & Motorcycles. For the ninth year, Cold Stone Creamery will support the Make-A-Wish Foundation through a promotion that features wish star sales throughout September, leading to the big event on Sept. 30 from 5-8 p.m. During the World’s Largest Ice Cream Social, ice cream fans can get a free 3-oz. sample of Kate’s Creation™ in exchange for a donation. Eleven-year-old Kate from Tampa, Fla., who wished to be Junior Tastemaster, developed this year’s creation: caramel apple ice cream mixed with apple pie filling, chocolate shavings and graham cracker pie crust.

Have you always wanted to get a bird's eye view of the Kansas landscape - here's your opportunity. Take an aerial tour of Lawrence including The University of Kansas campus and Clinton Lake. Sponsored by the City of Lawrence Aviation Advisory Board, Chi Omega Fraternity and Great Plains Media - Wings for a Wish will take place during the Open House at the Lawrence Airport.
