Dear Friends,
On August 31st the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Kansas ended another successful fiscal year. The chapter continues to grow in so many ways. We granted 65 wishes for children and their families across Kansas during this period.
Through the generous support of our many sponsors, volunteers, donors and professional staff, we have granted over 1,070 wishes to children in the communities we serve; sharing the hope, strength and joy they need to face a life-threatening medical condition.
As we move into our new fiscal year, we will focus on reaching out to our local communities and leaders to Share the Power of a Wish®. We are committed to granting more wishes and making sure the quality of each wish is our top priority. We challenge you to help us in this effort and to bring more people in to share this wonderful experience.
Thank you for choosing the Make-A-Wish Foundation as one of your charities to support. Your efforts really do put smiles on children’s faces and make a difference in their lives. We look forward to partnering with you and making even more smiles possible for these deserving kids and their families.
Cheers to a ground-breaking year of granting more wishes!

A Trip to the Big Apple
Karina, age 11, from Dodge City, KS had a heart transplant on July 20, 2009. Everything went well with the transplant and once Karina was home and settled she asked to receive a wish.
Karina loves New York City, even though she had never been there, so she wished to go to New York City with her family. Karina especially wanted to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Ground Zero, and the Museum of Natural History.
