It only takes hearing a few experiences from doctors, social workers, parents, and grandparents who tell us stories about how the positive influence of the wish granting experience brings hope, strength and joy to these young patients and takes them into a healthy, peaceful setting where they can restore and recuperate. These children deserve a break from the doctor appointments, hospital visits and medical treatments associated with these illnesses.

1,000th Wish Celebration 7-year-old Charlie, who has a rare form of cancer, was the recipient of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Kansas' 1,000th wish. His wish? A trip to Disney World. Charlie and his family departed on January 4th for a once in a lifetime family vacation. But before they left, a party was held honoring this milestone. |
