Take the Challenge

An anonymous donor has made a $25,000 donation to the chapter in honor of our 25th Anniversary of granting wishes in Kansas. With that donation, he has issued a challenge to the community to match it.

During the month of February 2010, Entercom Radio and Commerce Bank have joined the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Kansas to make this become a reality You can hear more about this community challenge by listening to 105.3FM The Buzz, 103.7FM KEYN, Power 93.9FM, KFH 1240AM|98.7FM, and KNSS 1330AM.

Then take your donation (cash or check) to any of the 15 Commerce Bank locations throughout Wichita, Derby, El Dorado and Hutchinson. You may also make a donation with your Visa, Mastercard or Discover by calling us directly at (316) 838-9474 during normal business hours (Mon. - Fri; 8 a.m.-5 p.m.).

We are so grateful to this anonymous donor, his donation and the matching funds from this challenge will grant a minimum of 10 wishes for children living with a life-threatening illness to bring them hope, strength and joy at a time when they need it most.

25 Years of Making Wishes Come True in Kansas

That’s right, 25 years of making magic for kids in Kansas and we are planning a year long celebration.

If you are a former wish recipient or family member, a retired volunteer or past board member, we would encourage you to contact us with your current mailing address and/or email address so we can include you in everything that will be going on.

Please be assured the “old” rules apply, we do not sell, rent or share our mailing list. It is a privilege to have these names and addresses and we don’t abuse that privilege.

What a journey the past 25 years have been for this chapter, from a small group of dedicated volunteers who met in someone’s kitchen, to a chapter that has granted a thousand wishes!

While we are acknowledging that 2010 is our 25th year of wishgranting, we would like to thank all the donors, volunteers and former Board members, it was because of you that this journey was made possible. 1,000th Wish Celebration Charlie

7-year-old Charlie, who has a rare form of cancer, was the recipient of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Kansas' 1,000th wish. His wish? A trip to Disney World.

Charlie and his family departed on January 4th for a once in a lifetime family vacation. But before they left, a party was held honoring this milestone.
